Apple has launched the first Mac computer equipped with Apple silicon, which uses a brand new Mac specific chip: M1. Eight core CPU and GPU

A14 has a six core CPU, four efficient cores, and two high-performance cores, while M1 extends this by adding another pair of high-performance cores, for a total of eight. Apple has also expanded the GPU from the 4-core A14 to the 8-core M1. Apple states that this is the fastest integrated graphics among laptops anywhere. Apple is not particularly big in benchmark testing, but it does claim to be "twice as fast as the latest laptop chips".
